Happy New Year from the Schill Architecture team! Though we’re in the midst of winter, our minds are already gearing up for spring and all the amazing houses we’re working on that will break ground in coming months. While no two homes that we design are alike, this sprawling ranch in Richfield, Ohio is unlike anything we’ve designed before. The home will be located on a large piece of property with a steep terrain. While some may view this hillside site as a challenge, we view it as an opportunity to create a walk-out lower level that opens up to the beautiful surroundings. Nearly every room in this contemporary home has floor to ceiling glass which will flood the interior with daylight and bring the outdoors in. For the exterior, we opted for a natural material palette comprised of stone, wood siding and stucco to allow the home to seamlessly blend into it’s surroundings. We can’t wait to see this one come to life later in 2024!
