As the warm weather ramps up, the Schill Architecture team has been hard at work designing homes that will break ground later this summer. While we pride ourselves on creating homes of all styles, this French country-inspired ranch might be one of our favorite recent designs. The combination of a light masonry facade, dark windows, steep roof pitches and symmetry at the entry give a distinctly European aesthetic to this ranch. What we love most about this home is that there is no “front” elevation – the rear side of the home is just as breathtaking. We’ve noticed a trend in clients placing more value on outdoor living spaces than ever before. These spaces are typically incorporated into the home from design inception, which means carefully crafting the window placement and materials on the rear elevation isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. We can’t wait to see this beautiful home begin construction and come to life later this year!
