One of the best parts of working in the residential sector of architecture is being able to design homes in a wide variety of styles based on the location, site size and client preferences. We never get bored at Schill Architecture! When we’re asked to design a forever home for a large, multi-acre property near Cuyahoga Valley National Park, we’re immediately drawn to the concept of a rustic retreat – a home that looks like it should be in the mountains rather than Northeast Ohio. We designed a sprawling ranch with a lower-level walkout that is perfectly suited for the secluded property. Natural, earthy materials and dark wood accents add to the mountain-lodge character of the home. We can’t wait to see this house comes to life once construction beings!
