One common misconception many individuals have, thanks in large part to the increasing popularity of HGTV, is that construction is a rapid process. In reality, many of Schill Architecture’s custom lakefront homes rely on a 24-30+ month timeline from the onset of design to move in day. This is far longer than the standard 7-8 month timeline of most builder-grade homes, but we know they’re worth the wait!
We often begin the design process by sketching with our clients in person to better understand their priorities and quickly go through schematic concepts. After we have a basic idea of the home’s footprint and layout, we refine our sketches and create a 3D model so our clients can better visualize the exterior appearance.
