Situated on a scenic cliff overlooking the Rocky River in Olmsted Falls, this Schill Architecture-designed home has a quaint, cottage-style exterior with some impressive volume spaces on the interior. When designing the home, the owner’s wanted to pay homage to the natural forest setting that the home was constructed in while simultaneously providing the “wow” factor of traditional residential features. Through the use of reclaimed wood and a massive salvaged fireplace from an abandoned Cleveland church, the family achieved the rustic retreat-meets-old world European elegance that they were hoping for! Large windows were placed throughout the great room and kitchen to open views to the river and brighten the space to ensure that the rich wood features did not feel heavy. What resulted was a timeless living area that truly brought the outdoors in. Whether your style is traditional, contemporary, rustic, or somewhere in between, the Schill Architecture team can seamlessly blend styles to create the home of your dreams!
