In our opinion, too many staircases are designed as a means to get from one floor to the next, often lacking any wow factor or thought to the design. At Schill Architecture, we prefer to view the staircase as a focal point of the home. By treating each stair as a room rather than a circulation path, we ensure the design acts as a piece of art that can be admired from other areas of the home while also aesthetically integrating the floors it connects. Over the years, we’ve designed stairs of all shapes, sizes and styles. Whether our clients prefer their stairway to be traditional or contemporary, curved or straight makes no difference to us – we just want our designs to make a statement!
