If there is one thing that Schill Architecture lakefront homes have in common, it’s glass…and lots of it! We love to offer our clients views to beautiful Lake Erie from every possible room in the home. In one of our lakefront designs that is currently under construction, we had to situate the home further back on the site than usual to accommodate an existing garage. What resulted from this location, with the help of the 10′ high ceilings in the walkout basement below, is that the rooms along the rear of the home appear to be “floating” above Lake Erie as if you’re in a treehouse! Upon walking through the front entry, a vast expanse of blue water and a distant horizon line is all you can see. We love that our clients can feel as if they are on a tropical retreat every day of the year and they love the privacy offered on the interior of the home. We can’t wait to watch construction progress on this coastal beauty!
