There’s nothing better than a warm summer day on the North Coast! At Schill Architecture, we love having opportunities to design warm weather retreats that allow our clients to take advantage of the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. We wanted to share some images of one of our recently completed homes in the Bay Point community. In order to maximize lake views on a compact lot, we created a 3-story floor plan to give all living areas and bedrooms a view of the water. A winding stair tower acts as the central circulation path between the floors and is a focal point for both the interior and exterior of the home. Though the lot may be narrow, the main entertaining areas of the home are expansive and provide all the sought-after modern amenities: a chef’s kitchen, an open floor plan and lots of glass! The primary living areas are connected by a glass-rail terrace stretching across the entire rear of the home with screened living spaces above and below. We couldn’t think of a more perfect place to enjoy a summer day on the North Coast!
